Center for the Future of Arizona Appoints New Board Member Kate Baker
Center for the Future of Arizona (CFA), a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to bringing Arizonans together to create a stronger and brighter future for the state, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Baker to its Board of Directors. A dedicated community leader with a passion for collaboration and service, Baker brings extensive experience and a steadfast commitment to advancing Arizona’s success.

Baker’s leadership and service have been instrumental in driving positive change across Arizona. She has served as Board Chair and Trustee for Desert Botanical Garden, Board Chair for Teach For America Phoenix, and currently serves as Treasurer for Be A Leader Foundation. Additionally, she contributed her expertise for eight years to the City of Phoenix Audit Committee. Through her many roles, she has demonstrated a deep belief in the power of collaboration to create meaningful and lasting impact.

In her new role, Baker will chair CFA’s Finance and Audit Committee, applying her expertise to strengthen the organization’s financial oversight and strategic direction. Her professional background, including retiring as Vice President and Treasurer of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ), equips her to provide valuable insights in this capacity, complementing her broader commitment to fostering progress for Arizona.
